FREEDOM TO FAIL
This week’s episode focuses on pursuing a creative path as a perfectionist. I’m really struggling with allergies this summer and I took a pile of allergy meds before recording—which made my mouth terribly dry. This talking head stuff is still a grand experiment for me! Choosing recording times that are quiet when there are no mowers or street work noise is a challenge. I’m planning to switch up my mic soon as the Audio-Technica is not ideal for talking and I have to use more compression to get rid of outside noises (it’s great for recording vocals however)!
In this episode, I share my thoughts on dealing with failure and rejection, and I also discuss pursuing a creative path later in life. Plus, Leslie Odem’s book, Failing Up, and how I stay creatively motivated, i.e., where I get my Inspiration Juice!
I hope you will bear with me as I work out the perfect sound mix! And if you like the podcast, please share it with your friends.
Perfectionism, failure, rejection, motivation, goals and attitude.
